A sweet twist on a classic bread. This recipe is simple, but will be some of the best banana bread you've ever had!
- 1/2 c butter softened
- 3/4 c honey
- 2 eggs
- 1 c mashed ripe banana
- 2 c all purpose flour
- 1 t baking soda
- 1/4 t salt
- 1 c chopped pecans, toasted or any nut, chocolate chip, or peanut butter chip
Beat butter with an electric mixer at medium speed in a large bowl. Add honey and beat well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each egg. Add bananas and mix well.
Combine flour, soda, and salt in another bowl. Stir in pecans. Add dry mixture to creamed mixture, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened.
Spoon batter into a greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 50-55 min or until a toothpick comes out clean. Shield corners with foil, if necessary. Cool 10 minutes, remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
